Job Description

Coach and mentor system engineers across Technology who are at a more junior level. I ensure that my own team’s area of technology is of a high quality and I understand the impacts to any other areas.
Introduce automation to all aspects of my day to day work.
Contribute to the Roadmap in my own technology area.
Evaluate new tools and techniques being able to understand their value and impact.
Architect design and deliver solutions using existing components where new technologies are being introduced. I implement them and establish best practice for their adoption.
Will have a range of technical and functional skills (for each area) including:
oKronos Workforce application – Classic View and Navigation View
oFunctional – Timecard Genies Hyper finds Approval and Signoff
oConfiguration – Pay code Pay rule Work rule PCD Zones Accruals and Access profiles
oIntegration – Knowledge on Workforce Integration Manager to develop interfaces to extract payroll data Import and Export Interfaces.
oReporting – SSRS – SQL reporting services for developing custom reports and integration of custom reports with Kronos application
oSQL - Good Knowledge on SQL Triggers Indexes Stored Procedure Functions and Performance tuning
I resolve incidents that have not been seen before and initiate change to ensure that issues can be easily dealt with in future.
Lead group design discussions on my area of expertise and be able to present with authority to a variety of audiences.
Keep my technical skills up to date and keep track of new technologies understanding how they might benefit the Technology team and wider Tesco.
Good understanding of the Server Architecture Application server and Database server and Kronos DB tables.
Proficient in Setup Configurations – Pay code Pay rule Work rule PCD Zones Access profiles and Accruals
Proficient in building navigator profiles for different set of users as per the requirements.
Proficient in Workforce Integration Manager Workforce Reports and should be able to build complex WIM interfaces.
Proficient in in developing complex custom reports using Microsoft SSRS report and integrating with Kronos WFC application.
Good understanding on Integrating application with Splunk Runscope and App Dynamics
Analyze enhanced requirements and create process documentation diagrams and feature specifications.
Experience working in Agile teams
Self-motivated and self-directed abilities to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment with "time-critical" deadlines
Proven analytical evaluative and problem-solving abilities
Possesses a team and customer service provision orientation
Experience
•Minimum 9-11 years of experience in Kronos Workforce Central application V7/8.1.10
Additional skills:
Understanding of WFC XML API and its usage for integration with other systems
To know Cloud technology basics – SaaS IaaS PaaS
