Job Description

To assist guests in all Front Office-related functions and carry out all day-to-day guest services tasks and to provide all guests & visitors with a warm welcome and assistance during the time spent in the entity as well as to ensure efficient, prompt, courteous, consistent quality, and proactive service for all our guests

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Registers guests and assigns rooms, accommodates special requests whenever possible
  • Thoroughly understands and adheres to proper credit, checks cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures
  • Understands room status and room status tracking
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of entity room categories, room rates, packages, promotions, and other general product knowledge necessary to perform daily duties
  • Possesses a working knowledge of reservation department, takes same day reservation and future reservation when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures
  • Post charges to guests’ accounts
  • To ensure that the Police CID Reporting System is updated hourly each day with proper process in place for 100% compliance and capturing of all guest records
  • To be fully aware about all VIPs in house, Entity functions and special events
  • Make sure that lights & music in the reception area are always operational and as per the set standards.
  • Make Daily Reports (e.g., Courtesy Call Report, Service Recovery, Special Occasion & Arrival reports to be sent to designated departments including HOD’s)
  • Update on Reception logbook all the handovers and important information
  • Ensure that rooms are assigned according to the reservation & as per guest’s requests
  • Update complaint on profile notes and inform the manager accordingly.
  • Communicate closely with Housekeeping at all times about room allocation changes, pending departures, room moves and waiting guests.

Qualifications

  • OPERA/Fidelio/WINHMS Knowledge
  • Computer/MS Software Applications skills

Additional Information

  • (1) years minimum experience in a similar role in four- or five-star hotel
  •  UAE/GCC local market experience
