Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

 

1. Working as a bridge between customers and engineering teams, Battery Quality Engineers use customer

input and sales information to design or re-design, develop test and battery solution for customer. They

also provide technical support and expertise to customers, testing applications, responding to customer

feedback, installations, maintenance and often performing sales presentations and demonstrations.

2. Provide Technical Support from application design, pilot run, EVT, MP and warranty, application

engineers provide customers with ongoing technical support. This support includes responding to

customer issues, providing updated software and hardware support, performing install, failure analysis

for RMA products.

3. Interface with product management, manufacturing and technical departments for coordinating the

design and fabricating prototype specialty batteries, customized battery and charging system.

4. Manage sales project to ensure timely delivery of solution and products.

5. Act as a technical advisor to industrial sales departments

6 Set up QA, RMA, FAI process for the dept and create data sheet, RMA report, 8D Failure Analysis report

for products.

7. Travel to customer site oversea and perform factory audit and meeting.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s in Mechanical engineering / Electrical Engineering, computer science, or related field

2. 2+ years experience as an applications engineer

3. Knowledge of batteries, chargers, and protection circuit board, SMBus, I2C, CAN bus

4. Familiarity with CAD software, such as solid work, pro Engineering and read Gerber file.

5. Good proposal presentation, organization, communication, interpersonal skills

Ability to handle client and customer issues tactfully and professionally

6. Traveling nationally and internationally up to 20%
