Job Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and experienced People and Culture Advisor to join our team in Auckland, New Zealand. As a key member of our People Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping our organisational culture, supporting employee engagement, and driving HR initiatives that align with our company's values and goals.
You will be the first point to our shared service teams (Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Finance and IT), providing them with support and guidance across the full remit of HR. Reporting to the P&C Manager, you will also work alongside her to support the Operations (Production, Warehouse and Supply) Team.
- Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs to foster a positive work environment
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including performance management, career development, and employee relations
- Identify training needs and supporting the delivery of training initiatives that enhance the skills and capabilities of our workforce.
- Collaborate with leadership to design and execute engagement initiatives that foster employee engagement, satisfaction and retention
- Assist in the administration of compensation and benefits programs
- Manage all induction programmes and activities for all new employees including the monthly review process for the first three months
- Conduct HR data analysis and prepare reports to inform strategic decision-making
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience in an HR Advisory role, ideally in Manufacturing or industrial setting
- Demonstrated experience in employee relations and performance management
- Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policies, procedures and HR best practice
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization
- A personable, hard-working and flexible attitude
- Confidence in dealing with people and leading difficult situations escalating issues when needed
- Conflict resolution skills and the ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Well-developed communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills for liaising with employees at all levels as well as external stakeholders
- Strong MS office skills
