Join Our Team as a Stores or Spares Leading Hand!

Are you energetic, motivated, and experienced in warehouse operations and leading a team? We want you at our Blacktown site! We have two vacancies: Stores Leading Hand and Spares Leading Hand. Reporting to the Spares, Receiving & Stores Team Leader, these roles are essential for the safe and efficient dispatch of materials, goods, and products to meet business operations and customer demand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Promptly process distribution orders/requests, including pick packing, distribution, and stock management
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with WHS standards
• Fulfill orders and liaise with customers, production supervisors and planners in particular
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load, unload, move, stack, and arrange stock
• Perform manual handling tasks
• Participate in cycle counts and stock takes as needed
• Manage the day-to-day performance of your team.
• Supervise and ensure the safe and efficient operation of the stores department
• Work with Inventory Controller with regards to SOH inventory whereabouts - 3PL or  onsite.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Valid Forklift License or willingness to be trained and obtain in a specified period
• Strong safety mindset and understanding of health and safety requirements
• Teamwork, communication skills & Supervision
• Accuracy, methodical work approach, and good numeracy
• IT skills and ability to complete paperwork and count stock items
• Understanding of Chain of Responsibility and Dangerous Goods Handling
• Flexibility in duties and awareness of customer deliverables and quality impact
