Job Description

 

We are seeking a dedicated Service Technician to join our team of three. In this role, you will be responsible for visiting sites around Greater Melbourne to service and support our Temperzone and Hitachi products. Reporting directly to the Service Supervisor, you will need to work independently, efficiently managing your time between on-site visits and remote work. Additionally, you will play a key role in mentoring and guiding our service apprentice.

If you can perform the following key tasks, we'd love to hear from you:

  • Manage warranty requests via our Online Warranty Request System.
  • Confidentiality diagnose faults.
  • Conduct on-site work safely and tidily.
  • File detailed reports of the work conducted.
  • Assist with commissioning Temperzone and Hitachi products.
  • Coach and mentor apprentices, ensuring their tasks support learning.
  • Demonstrate organizational culture and values to apprentices.
  • Support communication between apprentices and Temperzone.
  • Comply with safety and environmental policies.
  • Report safety issues and contribute to improving safety practices.
  • Continuously develop industry skills and perform other relevant tasks.

Qualifications

What You'll Bring to the Role:

  • High competency in air conditioning system design and controls.
  • Ability to lead and mentor apprentices effectively.
  • Skilled in resolving customer disputes.
  • Proficiency with DC Inverter and VRF Technology.
  • Strong team collaboration skills across departments.
  • Understanding and promoting installation Codes of Good Practice.
  • Passion for the HVAC industry and continuous skill improvement.
  • Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
  • Flexible decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Qualifications and Licenses: Refrigeration Trade Certificate, ARC License, Construction White Card, Low Voltage Rescue and CPR, Open Drivers License, and Restricted Electrical License or equivalent.
