Job Description

Job Summary: As one of our Production Supervisors your day will be centered around effectively communicating and problem solving. Your ability and tenacity to remain attentive while multitasking and adapting to change will be crucial to your success. Our Production Supervisors lead daily manufacturing processes to meet quality and success standards; aiding in achievement of company growth.

 

Schedule: Full Time, 6a- 6p, 12-hour schedule (36 hours / 48 hours), every other weekend required

 

Key Responsibilities: (Other duties, tasks and projects as assigned)

•                      Provide a “hands on” approach to leadership: establish compliance for all safety and quality guidelines; analyze and address production and personnel issues with an elevated sense of urgency and attention to detail; communicate effectively with senior leadership and team members throughout the fast-paced / high-volume production work environment

•                      Responsible for a variety of daily supervisory functions such as: ensure all equipment and machinery are safely and efficiently operated; plan, assign, direct and reprioritize production to maximize use of  time, staff, equipment, machinery, and raw materials to meet quality / customer standards; communicate with all team members to maintain harmonious relations throughout the organization; assist all contributors as workloads fluctuate

•                      Promote a “people centric” culture through training, coaching and developing team members; provide contributors feedback to close performance gaps; showcase diplomacy, respect and dignity to all individuals while supporting positive mindsets, contributor development, creating growth paths, determining corrective action plans and expressing recognition

•                      Implement best practices to minimize waste and maximize production, drive continuous improvement initiatives, spearhead projects or committees to improve safety, performance and quality

•                      Accurately perform detailed and organized record keeping; run time, down time, in-put, out-put, quality / repair time, discarded material / waste, suspect / defective materials or products

•                      Uphold standards for cleanliness and safe work environments, ensure all work area’s meet these expectations

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

•                       High School Diploma or GED with 1 - 3 years of leadership / supervisory experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

(Useful fields of study include: business, supply management, engineering)

•                       Strong ability to efficiently remain organized, detailed oriented and tactful while communicating, troubleshooting and multi-tasking

•                       Self-motivated, operating with a high sense of urgency while working independently and as part of a team

•                       Proficient computer skills; Windows, Microsoft Suites, Data Entry Systems, ERP / Inventory Control Systems, phone systems and email systems

 

Background check and drug screen required

Additional Information

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Up to 35 direct reports, as well as indirect supervision of up to 50 employees and temporary associates.

 

Work Environment: Operates in a professional office environment as well as within a manufacturing environment subject to inside environmental conditions and noise.  Often required to sit, use repetitive hand motion, hear, listen, talk, stand, and walk.  Often required to climb stairs, reach overhead, pull, push, and lift up to 50 pounds.
