Job Description

  • Reporting to the Chief Storyteller/Creative Director 
  • Leading and managing a team of three designers in graphic design, web design, and photography

  • Regularly working with the PM/AM team on delegating projects based on team and individual strengths

  • Being an active part of our leadership team (with the Senior Film Producer, Senior Account Manager, Senior Content Strategist, and Chief Storyteller) - your role is to advocate and be the biggest champion for the design team

  • Delivering creative visuals from concept to completion

  • Utilize design thinking to support great design across teams and organization 

  • Create and creative direct compelling graphics across a wide range of disciplines (like print, web, video) that meet client objectives, follow brand guidelines, and are delivered on time.

  • Develop concepts and designs for a variety of digital, print, and web projects

  • Setting a design pace on every project; casting vision, minding the details, and solving the work in a meaningful way

  • Contribute to creative meetings and overall team culture passionately

  • A balance between print and digital experience and knowledge

  • Strong eye for detail and precision

  • Able to take creative direction and execute accordingly

  • Experienced presenting work in a meeting environment to peers and seniors

  • Ensure work is reviewed/approved before presentation for your entire team

  • Present work to peers, partners and clients in a clear, professional manner

Qualifications

About You:

  • Technical Mastery – Expert with design software tools like Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and any other art program that brings your awesome work to life!

  • Creative Contributor – We don’t work in silos; our designers work together with our video producers, writers, account managers, and project managers to create the best client and team experience possible. There are no hand-offs around here.

  • Problem-Solving Player – We solve creative problems here on a daily basis and the ability to provide solutions to any and all creative challenges is greatly valued!

  • Adaptability & Dexterity. A flexible disposition capable of not just accepting critical feedback but embracing it! This role requires individuals to move “on-the-fly” and pivot quickly when a concept veers in a different direction.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree in design or a related field preferred

  • 5+ years of professional experience in graphic design

  • A killer online portfolio demonstrating and clearly indicating the range of your design skills, styles, and expertly executed interactive work experience

  • Demonstrated creative team management/leadership experience

Added Bonus:

  • Familiarity with motion graphics and interactivity through AfterEffects

  • Experience with web design, knowledge of WordPress and CSS

  • Experience with infographic or information design

  • Experience with Asana and/or Everhour
