Job Description

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and driven Account Executive to generate leads and drive sales. You’re our frontline storyteller, the first person from Tellwell that most folks will interact with. It’s your job to live out our Core Norms and set your team up for success. 

The Account Executive's responsibilities include supporting development sales reports, informing potential and existing customers of services/products (and new benefits), and knowing how to support customers when complaints arise. You should also be able to create as well as present persuasive sales proposals to customers to encourage sales and repeat business - we have a variety of tools in use already, but we’re open to evolving tools and processes in building this role. 

To be successful as an Account Executive, you should be persuasive and have excellent negotiation skills. Ultimately, an exceptional Account Executive should be able to demonstrate effective communication and customer service skills to continually meet or exceed sales targets.

 

Account Executive Responsibilities:

  • Building and sustaining long-lasting relationships with new and existing customers 

  • Traveling across the state and nation when appropriate to conduct face-to-face meetings with existing and potential customers.

  • Continually meeting or exceeding sales targets by selling company products to new and existing customers.

  • The primary focus for this role is to sell our two scalable products:

    • Tech Tips by Tellwell

    • Content on Demand by Tellwell

    • After 6 months of successful selling of Tech Tips and Quarterly On Demand content, you will have opportunities to sell additional agency services.

  • Developing and implementing an effective sales strategy to drive sales.

  • Maintaining an accurate record of all leads, customer accounts, and sales.

  • Collaborating with the team to expand brand presence through the creation of suitable marketing materials.

    • We’re a marketing agency - we can build almost any sales collateral we would need, but do need guidance on what pieces you’d like. E.g. tell us what content, story, focus you’d like in a brochure, not just ‘Aaron, need a brochure by tomorrow!’

  • Researching competitors' products and pricing as well as market conditions.

  • Keeping abreast of the latest industry developments by attending meetings, training workshops, and industry events.

    • The primary focus for this role will be the rural broadband and telecommunications industry but will be servicing all Tellwell clients. 

  • Strategically negotiating with potential and existing customers to close sales.

  • Client Partnership & Day-to-Day Communication

    • Stellar client service is an art. When your clients ask questions, you give them true answers — Tellwell doesn’t make things up to cover things up. You communicate with them in their own organization’s language — you become a part of their organization just as much as they’re a part of ours.

  • Marketing Strategy and consulting

    • You understand how both digital and physical marketing drives business growth, and when to use which. 

 

This role will be commission with a base salary based on experience. 

Qualifications

Account Executive Requirements:

  • Degree in Marketing, Businesses Administration, Public Relations, Communications, or related field is preferred or consummate experience

  • Proven outside sales experience.

  • Proficiency in all Google Drive apps.

  • Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

    • We use Salesflare, but are open to new platforms. 

  • Strong consultative sales skills.

  • Excellent organizational skills.

  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Detail-oriented.

Additional Information

Bonus Points

  • SAAS and/or agency selling experience

  • Expeirence in the broabdand/telecommunications industry

  • Familiarity with Asana and Google Apps
