You deliver beautifully written stories, snappy copywriting, and love to nerd out about all things social. Job Description

We are looking for a Content Writer to join our editorial team and enrich our client’s work with words.

Content Writer responsibilities include conducting thorough research on industry-related topics, generating ideas for new content types, and proofreading articles before publication for a wide variety of clients. If you’re familiar with producing content and have an eye for detail, we’d like to meet you. Feel free to share samples of your work or portfolio of your published articles, along with your application.

Ultimately, you’ll deliver quality writing pieces that appeal to our Tribe’s audiences, attract customers, and boost brand awareness.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Participating in creative ideation sessions

  • Helping discover and build storylines

  • Assisting with pre-production phases (storyboards, shot-lists, etc)

  • Research of interviewees and organizations we work with

  • Developing interview questions for video and written works

  • Writing feature stories, blog posts, press releases, social content, web copy, and any other writing needs both for Team Tellwell and our Tellwell Tribe

  • Editing written works from the content team

  • Coordinate with design teams to illustrate articles

  • Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic

  • Lead Tellwell’s content on social media

  • Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images, and tone)

  • Facilitate meetings with the Tellwell team and clients

  • Coordinate internal resources and external vendors as necessary

From blogs, to tweets, to storyboarding videos, you have the knowledge to translate people-focused stories into business goals

Stellar client service is an art. When your clients ask questions, you give them true answers — Tellwell doesn’t make things up to cover things up. You communicate with them in their own organization’s language — you become a part of their organization just as much as they’re a part of ours.

Requirements

  • Experience in working with many clients at once

  • Experience editing strong story focus

  • Strong organization and workflow

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Ability to work with team members and outside partners

  • Capturing and editing written pieces (from blog posts to social ads, to long-form magazine articles) from start to finish

  • Unparalleled attention to detail.

  • Terrific writing skills with the ability to craft social media posts and other marketing communications.

  • A knack for voice and tone in the social and digital media space.

  • Passion for marketing, community building, and storytelling on the (social) web.

  • Willingness to contribute and accept ongoing, constructive feedback from your team.

  • 2-5 years of client-facing experience

  • Recognizing what needs to be done and getting it done

  • People and process-oriented

  • Strong client focus and empathy

  • Ability to hustle in a fast, demanding startup environment

  • A keen eye for design and film

  • Work from our HQ in Fargo, ND
