We’re looking for an experienced content strategist — someone with client communication skills, knowledge of content and marketing strategy, and support team to create great content. You deliver clever content efficiently and are a grammar nerd at heart. You love spreading the story and helping mission-driven organizations navigate new landscapes. As a content strategist with Team Tellwell, you lead content strategy development built upon great stories and will work with clients who have strong values and missions.

Job Description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting creatives and engagement managers to strategize and execute on content creation and strategy for clients

  • Lead clients through voice discoveries and comprehensive content audits

  • Effectively managing project scope and scope delivery

  • Organize, schedule, and oversee client projects from start to finish

  • Helping create estimates and proposals and business development related functions

  • Collaborate and support creatives on the Tellwell team to seek out and deliver client feedback

  • Clearly communicate and manage expectations and deadlines internally and externally

  • Partner with Max on marketing strategy

  • QA for all projects

  • Facilitate meetings with the Tellwell team and clients

  • Coordinate internal resources and external vendors as necessary

Tellwell lives to tell stories - you help figure out what that story is, strategize how to get that out to the people, and then support in creating and delivering those stories. From blogs, to tweets, to storyboarding videos, you have the knowledge to translate people-focused stories into business goals

Client Partnership & Day-to-Day Communication

Stellar client service is an art. When your clients ask questions, you give them true answers — Tellwell doesn’t make things up to cover things up. You communicate with them in their own organization’s language — you become a part of their organization just as much as they’re a part of ours.

New Business Participation:

As Tellwell's face to your clients, you jump in right away, leading discovery efforts for relevant business development opportunities. You help craft marketing roadmaps that strategically get our clients where they want to go. Who, what, where, when, why, how? You have the answers.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • Ability to spearhead discovery efforts and subsequently envision a plan for the role of content within a client’s marketing mix.

  • Unparalleled attention to detail.

  • Understand buyer personas and customer journeys during the planning phase.

  • Terrific writing skills with the ability to craft social media posts and other marketing communications.

  • A knack for voice and tone in the social and digital media space.

  • Passion for marketing, community building, and storytelling on the (social) web.

  • Ability to manage short-term priorities and long-term goals simultaneously.

  • Willingness to contribute and accept ongoing, constructive feedback from your team.

  • 2-5 years of client-facing experience

  • Recognizing what needs to be done and getting it done

  • People and process-oriented

  • Strong client focus and empathy

  • Ability to hustle in a fast, demanding startup environment

  • A keen eye for design and film

  • Strong data, metrics, and analysis skills

  • Work from our HQ in Fargo, ND
