    Job Description

    • Provide A/E mechanical engineering services for the Department of Energy (DOE) Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR).
    • Lead mechanical design for oil & gas projects, including pumps, compressors, piping, valves, heat exchangers, and pressure vessels.
    • Prepare and review drawings, calculations, specifications, RFIs, and contractor submittals.
    • Perform piping, pump, pipe stress, control valve, and relief device calculations.
    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and DOE personnel to maintain quality, schedule, safety, and budget.
    • Conduct site visits to SPR locations in Louisiana and Texas several times per year.

    Requirements

    • Master’s + 10 years or Bachelor’s + 15 years in Mechanical Engineering/oil & gas.
    • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
    • Oil & gas engineering/design experience preferred.
    • Rotating equipment experience required.
    • Experience with CAESAR, PipeFLO, or similar software.
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office preferred.
    • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass PIV background check.
