Electrical Technician - HVAC

Job Description

Qualifications

You have:

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Minimum of 5 years’ HVAC experience in an industrial/manufacturing including experience with scroll, screw, and centrifugal compressors

Universal EPA Refrigerant 608 Certification and understand the EPA refrigerant 608 guidelines. 

Experience with air conditioning systems up to 25 tons and water-cooled chillers up to 200 tons

Ability to braze copper/ brass, use manifold gauge assemblies, use pressure/ temperature charts, recovery, charge and pull proper vacuum.

Experience with subcooling, superheat

Experience using Microsoft office programs.

Experience leading a team.

Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.

 

Exceptional candidates also have:

Completion of a recognized HVAC apprenticeship, four years on the job training or Mechanical degree from an accredited technical college or institution

Experience leading a team

Experience with air conditioning systems up to 100 tons and water-cooled chillers up to 500 tons

Strong ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, troubleshoot to root cause, and implement repairs to restore flow of equipment.

Process control and instrumentation principles

Experience with Johnson controls Metasys HVAC Control Systems, Liebert Air Conditioning Controls Systems and/or Trane Tracer Summit and synchrony Programs

Trane Tracer Summit and synchrony Programs

Refrigerant Compliance manager software

Be able to perform basic cooling load calculations.
