Under general supervision, formulates and defines systems scope and objectives through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. With this knowledge, develops or modifies moderately complex information systems. Analyzes business and user needs, documents requirements, and revises existing system logic difficulties as necessary. Guides and advises less experienced personnel. Competent to work in some phases of systems analysis and considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. This position reports directly to the EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) Team Lead.

 Under general supervision, performs the following:

• Participates in most aspects of user consulting, systems analysis, general and detailed systems design.

• Prepares detailed specifications from which moderately-complex applications will be written.

• Able to develop new programs of moderate to complex scope, works with moderately-complex applications system design specifications; utilizes company standards, procedures, and techniques.

• Develops program test plans and assists in the development of application test plans.

• Assists in the education and development of less experienced developers.

• 5+ year’s experience in development within the Hyperion product set, specifically HFM, FDM and Financial Reporting Studio (preferably version 11.1.2.3).

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Technology is required.

• Pertinent to HFM, skills relating to metadata maintenance, data form creation/modification, rules changes and advanced troubleshooting skills required.

• Pertinent to FDM, skills and experience in developing complex mappings and writing advanced scripts is required. Some after-hours load monitoring/troubleshooting will be required.

• For Financial Reporting Studio, must be able to write and maintain reports and adhere to a reusable reporting strategy.

• At least a mid-level knowledge of relational database engines such as Oracle, MS SQL server or similar DBMS.

• Functional understanding of Accounting, Finance, and Planning & Budgeting

• Strong analytical and complex problem solving skills.

• Uses complex debugging techniques to develop and test programs/applications.

• Competent to work in most phases of applications development activities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication.

• A comprehensive understanding of configuring EPM products is desired.

• Experience with DRM, SmartView, and Essbase is a plus.
