Job Description
Our real time team collaborates with all departments at the Mill to deliver a range of different types of projects including game cinematics, short films, interactive experiences (including XR and VR), and LED volumes. The Realtime Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing projects of various scale and type. They will be involved in client outreach, bidding, planning, and execution. And they will play an important role in mentoring and collaborating with the Mill’s talented artist network.
The Mill is known for setting the bar for visual quality in all its work. The Realtime Supervisor should have a strong eye for realism, detail, and style and be able to give clear and constructive notes to artists. They should have a proven track record of producing high quality imagery and be well versed in adapting to internal and external feedback. Experiencing with a variety of traditional VFX, gaming, and cinematic projects is a plus.

Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of CG planning and execution for projects of various types.
- Lead collaboration between our global teams.
- Collaborate with CG, 2D, and R&D teams to find the best solutions to all major technical and/or creative challenges on projects.
- Bid and plan work.
- Interact with and help manage clients.
- Creatively and technically supervise projects and collaborate with our directors and creative directors.
- Provide regular guidance, constructive criticism & critical feedback to artists, ensuring that all teams are producing assets that meet the overall visual style and quality bar.
- Plan and continue to develop our realtime pipeline. Research and explore new developments in graphics software and technology that could benefit the studio.
Qualifications
Experience in creative leadership roles with demonstrated success.
Advanced CG Artist experience, preferably in the Gaming and VFX Industry.
Expert skills working with Unreal Engine (Unity and Frostbite knowledge is a plus).
Some technical skills with blueprints, scripting, and troubleshooting and experience working with developers and engineers.
Experience with VFX pipelines (Maya and Houdini).
Some Virtual Production experience is preferred.
Ability to inspire & lead with a people-first mindset.
