Job Description

Role:

This is an individual contributor role requiring strong technical proficiency & stakeholder management skills. The role involves the need for the incumbent to independently manage the endto-end aspects of service delivery on all matters related to Payroll, Time & Attendance, Benefits & Compliance to the different Business divisions in Technicolor India.

Job Responsibility:

This role will be responsible for Global Rewards operation team at Technicolor India. The key components of this role include Benefits Management, Payroll processing, Time & Attendance, Internal & External HR Audits, Statutory and Labour Compliance, & internal Communication.

Payroll:

To manage the payroll process for all ensuring 100% accuracy, timely execution and adherence to the Local Labour Laws and company policy & procedures. This includes all payroll related reporting as required including and not limited to salary registers/summaries, reconciliations of costs/ provisions/trial balances and statutory reporting. • Ensure the organization's compliance with payroll tax reporting and withholding responsibilities. Work cross-functionally and with corporate C&B, payroll service provider to provide functional knowledge of payroll taxes including WHT and trial balance adjustments. • Work with the payroll vendor in ensuring that employee communication and escalations are managed responsibly • Review the monthly performance of the vendor dashboards and provide constructive feedback.

Time & Attendance: 

Ensure timely and accurate employee data on T&A application (Solus for India) and involvement with the vendors and global team to resolve technical issues • Conduct regular informal audits and report defects to the superiors

Statutory & Labour Compliance : 

100 % compliance of the monthly filing of mandatory returns (PF/ EDLI / ESI / LWF / Prof Tax / Statutory Bonus / Gratuity / Leave Encashment / Employment Exchange / Minimum Wages, etc.) i.e., Maintain and close all filings pertaining to labour department requirements 

Point of contact for statutory compliance, responsible for maintenance all statutory files for the India office ensuring accurate information & filing in accordance with Local labor laws and company policy / procedure

Work closely with compliance vendor, payroll vendor and the internal legal team in proactively identifying exposure areas from a compliance perspective and work towards implementing a sustainable solution 

Establish best practice compliance processes for sharing and communicating internally and to the organization. Update management of any major changes in terms of labour laws and statutory compliance that could have a bearing at the legal entity level

Facilitate training of the HR Service Centre employees on latest employment legislation and case law.

 

Benefits Administration 

Introduce progressive and cost-effective benefit programs for India, including Group Medical, Personal Accident, and term life Insurance, EDLI etc. 

Evaluate different vendors in the local market from time to time to identify and introduce value-added services for employees. 

Network with vendors to know the market trends in employee health and wellness.  Continually advice local management and Corporate Benefits team on benefits best practices in India. 

Negotiate with insurance brokers and other vendors during renewals and ensure service enhancement with least cost impact. 

Work with the vendor to ensure employee communication and escalations are managed responsibly and in a timely manner.

Work with Corporate Benefits team on local benchmarking exercise from time to time in coordination with the identified global brokers and consultants

Vendor Management 

Maintain good rapport with all local vendors under the purview of HR Operations.  Proactively work with the vendors in managing escalations from internal stakeholders

 

Qualifications

Experience: 

Minimum of 7 - 8 years of extensive experience in all the areas of HR (strategic and operational).

Should have exposure of handling T&A, Benefits, Payroll, and Compliance activities.
