As part of an international animated feature film, Mikros Animation is looking for several Confo Render Artists to join its team! 

Reporting to the Supervisor and the Lead Confo, the Confo Render Artists have a very good knowledge of the 3D production pipeline and are required to collaborate with artists from different departments to ensure the feasibility of the film. Their responsibilities include: 

• Conform the masters and other shots from the work validated and delivered by the upstream departments   
• Verify the resulting files and ensure the correct construction of the shots sent to the downstream departments (Lighting/Rendering, VFX)   
• Make the correct assembly of the successive caches (Anim, Fixing, CFX)  
• Ensure the correct recovery of casting, setdress, camera and duration and their update and if necessary take charge of the necessary modifications  
• Correct material and texture assignment problems in a shot or sequence  
• Verify shots and sequences continuity for camera, location, assets and props throughout the pipeline  

Required skills... 

• Good understanding of the steps of a 3D workflow  
• Good knowledge of Maya  
• Ability to analyze and solve technical problems    
• Sense of observation and global vision  
• Good communication skills (especially with other departments)  
• Curiosity, rigor and autonomy  
• Be proactive in seeking information and solving technical problems  
• Patience and perseverance   
• Good level of English   

... And appreciated assets 

• Previous experience in feature film or animated series, or VFX projects  
• Previous experience as an Environment / Lighting / Layout Artist  
• Basic knowledge of Katana   
• Knowledge of Houdini, Nuke, and rendering engines (ideally Arnold)  
• Knowledge of tracking software (ideally Shotgrid)  
• Scripting in Python/Mel is also a plus
