The Senior Principal 2D Training Specialist will travel to and reside in Bangalore for 4-6 months to assist in the training efforts of the Bangalore MPC Compositing department. The aim of this role is to upskill current artist’s skills, develop self-sufficiency within the team, and grow leadership capability.

The Senior Principal 2D Training Specialist will assess the current state of the Compositing department and its training needs, then develop, present and implement a training strategy. The training strategy will include live trainings, dailies feedback, recorded video and written content, and program creation in MPC’s learning management system. This role will be supported by MPC’s global training team of training coordinators, training content creators, and managers.

Responsibilities

• Assess the training needs in Bangalore and present training proposals to stakeholders.

• Create and execute training programs for Artist, Key, Lead and Supervisor levels.

• Instruct individuals or groups of artists in a classroom or show environment

• Improve artist efficiency by coaching artists on show related tasks

• Create training content including training files, video and written content.

• Work within a Learning Management System to create and deliver training.

• Report to the Global Head of Creative Training and Development.

• 2D Supervisor or Compositing Lead experience for 2-3 years. working on high profile international projects.

• Expert in Nuke and Look development work for sequences.

• Able to travel to and reside in Bangalore, India for 4-6 months during the training.

• Is an excellent communicator, both written and verbal.

• Can work independently within an organization to get information proactively.

• Current or former MPC employee preferred.
