Job Description

You are applying to join the TCS Academy course for Prep.

Have you ever wondered, in movies, how a person is flying in the sky? How they are jumping from one building to another building. If you have watched the movie's making, you might have been aware that the director uses the ropes, cranes, mattes and many more objects and crews to present these kinds of unrealistic or risky scenes. If you are amazed by the work that we do in VFX, that all happens by prep. Prep is required to remove unwanted artifacts and recreate the background on a live-action plate.

This course is the blueprint for your career pathway, where you will learn from very basic to the advanced level of prep techniques very smoothly. It is a step-by-step guide to enhance your skills. You will learn how to remove any unwanted dust and scratches, cranes and wires or crew members from the scene and recreate the scenes' characters and backgrounds by using the appropriate prep techniques that make the scene more realistic.

At the end of this course, you will learn how to play with the pixels to get the finest work quality and create an illusion to the audience by remoulding the scene.

What do we offer?

  • A course of 8 weeks to get you up to the standard required to deliver first class VFX
  • Dedicated mentoring from a senior industry member
  • Intensive training using industry standard software tools (provided) while using our high-quality training materials
  • Continued access to video tutorials featuring industry experts and the potential to use your project work in showreels
  • You will be hired as an employee (paid) during this virtual training. After completing this course, if selected based on your performance, you will move on the floor in one of Technicolor's VFX studios and extended a 6-12 month contract.
