CA GEN Consultant

Location : Austin, TX

Duration : 6-12 months, contract-to-hire

Role description:

▪ Analyze, design, build and test changes to CA GEN based application for one or more of the following functional areas: Provider, Member, Claims Processing, Payments.
• Record test results in test management system and resolve identified defects as assigned.
• Perform post-deployment verification per deployment procedures.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of appropriate programming languages and tools for supported systems.
• Utilize document management system to maintain documentation.
• Peer review work done by other team members.
• Adhere to applicable process standards.
• Utilize change management system to version code changes and follow approved change management processes.
• Provide realistic estimates of own work.

 

Basic Qualifications:
• at least 2 years full life-cycle development experience for applications using CA:GEN (CoolGen) 6.5 and above
• at least 2 years experience with object oriented programming
• Experience with CA:GEN target Implementation for HP/Tandem NSK platform.
• Exposure OLAP Reporting Tools (i.e. Bus Objects)
• Experience writing SQL and working with databases
• Experience working in a team environment
• Documentation experience using Visio & Word


Preferred skills:
▪ Experience with C and SQL on HP/Tandem NSK platform
▪ Experience with TACL, Inspect tools for HP/Tandem NSK platform.
▪ Experience CA:GEN target implementation for Java on Wintel platform
▪ Medicaid application experience in financial and claims processing systems.
▪ Quality Center, Serena or similar test and configuration management tools
