About the Role:

The Senior Business Analyst plays a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions by thoroughly analyzing and documenting business processes, requirements, and challenges. This position is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across various departments to identify opportunities for improvement and to develop strategic solutions that drive business growth and operational efficiency. The Senior Business Analyst leads complex projects from inception through implementation, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and delivering measurable value. They act as a trusted advisor to both business and technical teams, facilitating clear communication and understanding to ensure successful project outcomes. Ultimately, this role is pivotal in enabling data-driven decision-making and fostering continuous improvement within the organization.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in business analysis or a related role within a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation techniques.
  • Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with Agile tools like JIRA or Confluence.
  • Background in data analysis and proficiency with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance standards relevant to the organization.
  • Advanced skills in process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document detailed business requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Conduct comprehensive process analysis and identify areas for improvement, recommending innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, developers, and QA teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented correctly.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and presentations to communicate findings, progress, and recommendations to diverse audiences.
  • Support the development and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) plans to validate that solutions meet business needs.
  • Monitor project progress and assist in managing scope changes, risks, and issues to ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior analysts, fostering knowledge sharing and professional development.

  • Additionally, data analysis and visualization skills empower the analyst to provide insights that inform strategic decisions and measure the impact of implemented changes.
