• At least 11 years of experience in developing/architecting applications with significant exposure to Java, J2EE, Unix/Linux technologies. 

• At least 7 years of experience in defining new architectures and driving an independent project from an architectural stand point – for highly available and scalable web applications.

• At least 5 years of experience in defining technology solutions for Retail domain to solve business/ IT problem.

• Strong OO design skills with the understanding of enterprise software design patterns and data structures.

• Experience in developing server side architecture and web application development.

• Experience in Service Oriented Architecture using industry standard frameworks including Spring with CXF using REST/SOAP and concepts on usage of Enterprise Service Bus and messaging frameworks.

• Experience in developing distributed systems using open source technologies like Kafka, Storm and Grafana.

• Experience in enterprise distributed caching frameworks like infinispan.

• Experience in Pentaho platform is desirable.

• Working knowledge of MySQL Database is essential.

• Familiarity with automation tools like Chef, Jenkins and experience in cloud deployments will be desirable.

• Knowledge of tools like Eclipse, Maven, Git coupled with Test Driven Development is essential.

• Experience in Agile software development environment is desirable.

• Experience in providing advanced technology advisory services.• Understanding of market and technology trends.

• Analytical skills 

The job also entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. 

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

• At least 11 years of experience with Information Technology
