Job Description

This position is responsible for architect level design and development of software systems, using analysis and models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. The candidate will lead and mentor junior developers in formulating system scope and objectives, devising or modifying procedures to solve problems using information systems, preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written; analyzing and revising existing systems logic difficulties; and developing requirements and functional design of systems analysis/programming projects. Reviews Data Collections and other application requirements and assists in the creation of system requirements. Research and analyze information to determine, recommend and plan installation of a new system or modification of an existing system. Monitor, maintain and resolve J2EE application problems on WebSphere application server. Provide assistance to team involving web application and large database WebSphere 6.x. Perform troubleshooting and diagnostics tasks for application and system equipment and provide risk mitigation plans for technical implementation alternatives. Participate in functional requirements and design document and other system life-cycle documentation to meet SDLC and CMMI requirements. Assist Project Manager(s) in preparing time estimates and justification for assigned tasks.

Qualifications

Desired experience:

Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field such as information technology, computer science, or engineering plus 10 or more years of direct professional experience as a Lead Software Engineer, Programmer, and/or Developer.

Minimum requirements:

The candidate should have solid experience with OOD/OOA, experience designing using UML, Sequence diagrams and Use Cases, and writing technical documents, giving presentations, and managing technical requirements. The candidate should possess experience with the following: Spring Framework, Schema; Ibatis; JPA; EJB3.1; JDBC, and JSF.

Desired requirements:

Strong Database experience - Oracle (almost to DBA level) is required. Design and development experience with Spring MVC, Spring DAO, Hibernate and Spring Core. Design and development experience using JavaScript, Web Services, HTML / CSS, AJAX. Experience in build and release processes using Maven. Experience with JavaScript frameworks (Ext JS, jQuery). Experience with an object oriented, server-side languages (Java) and MVC frameworks (Spring MVC). Exposure to Service Oriented Architecture and Web Service development standards (SOAP, XML, WSDL) and developing in Spring and Hibernate frameworks. Strong J2EE development experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Oracle, IBM MQ Series. Knowledge of reporting tools like MicroStrategy /BI is a plus. Knowledge of JRule Rules Engine is a plus. Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment with varying priorities, based on a team building culture.
