Our Chennai team is growing fast and plays a key role in delivering high-value international BTP innovation projects.

As a SAP BTP CAP Backend Developer, you will develop cloud extensions and APIs that enable intelligent, secure and high-performance business processes.

You will:

• Design robust data models using CDS with associations, annotations & calculations
• Build and expose OData services using CAP and business logic
• Integrate CAP services with SAP S/4HANA / Ariba via REST, SOAP & event-driven patterns
• Implement Node.js backend logic within CAP applications
• Ensure security across services (OAuth2, OIDC, SAML2)
• Implement unit & integration testing (Mocha, Chai)
• Document your designs with clear technical specifications
• Contribute to CI/CD automation and GitLab versioning pipelines
• Work in an Agile/Scrum delivery model

🎓 Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent

📅 Experience

• 3+ years building cloud applications with CAP & Node.js
• Experience deploying on SAP BTP

Technical skills

• CDS modeling, data services, annotations
• Node.js & JavaScript backend proficiency
• Knowledge of SAP BTP services & cloud connectivity
• OData / API development & integration best practices
• Experience with Git/GitLab & CI/CD delivery automation
• Testing frameworks: Mocha, Chai
• Bonus: SAPUI5 / Fiori Elements, SAP S/4HANA functional flows
