Job Description

TeamBuilders Employment & Business Solutions is actively recruiting for an experienced Sales Coordinator to join a local, leading food processing company in the Fresno, CA area.

 

The Sales Coordinator position will be an excellent fit for a proactive, motivated and team oriented individual with experience providing support to a sales management team within a Produce, Consumer Packaged Goods, Food Processing and/or Crop Production industry. 

 

Within this role as a Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing direct support to the Sales & Accounting Management team in a Business to Business environment where the customer base consists of retail & wholesale food and food service industries.

The typical duties of the Sales Coordinator will consist of order entry, updating inventory records, invoicing, creating reports, assisting with new product launches, providing account and project support, scheduling meetings with buyers in addition to providing support to multiple departments as required. 

 

The Sales Coordinator position is full time and will require overtime as necessary and may require occasional travel out of state, commuting to customer locations in addition to industry trade shows.

 

Company offers an outstanding benefits package, competitive salary between $60-75K yearly (dependent upon experience).

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Sales Coordinator:

  • Provide direct sales and project support to Sales Director & CFO
  • Customer Service
  • Order Entry
  • Assist with new business development efforts with prospective accounts including, but not limited to, new product opportunities and strategic initiatives
  • Work with product technical support colleagues to support new sales opportunities and to address customer issues or concerns
  • Administrative duties to include updating company’s customer database software to track sales activities, generate forecasting and movement analysis reports, inventory reports, invoicing in addition to additional administrative support duties as required
  • Utilize reports that track sales, pricing and inventory to monitor shipments 
  • Demonstrate strong product and technical expertise and sound market knowledge of domestic products and markets
  • Assist with new product launch projects

 

 

 

Required Experience, Skills and Attributes of the Sales Professional:

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ sales support experience within the food processing/food manufacturing industry handling the duties listed
  • Must have a BS Degree (preferably in Business Management, Marketing, Agricultural Business or related)
  • Strong experience working with retail & wholesale food service client companies with extensive knowledge of various types of produce is required
  • Superior communication skills (interpersonal, verbal and written)
  • Advanced software skills such as Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel in addition to Famous Software
  • Ability to thrive working independently as well as part of a team
  • Outstanding time management, prioritization and detail orientation skills
  • A clean driving record, valid CA DL and background are required
