Moreover, we nurture each spirit, giving each child the knowledge to make meaningful friendships and achieve future academic readiness.  We are seeking a Montessori Director to continue this mission as a vital part of our leadership team, responsible for ensuring quality education in our early childhood program.

Job Description

  • Manage and motivate staff, set high standards, and lead by example. Help improve and maintain the highest standards in each classroom and by each staff member.

  • Understand parent needs, conduct tours, manage concerns, and maintain enrollment targets.

  • Administratively present weekly reports, track metrics, and monitor center budget.

  • Provide supervision for decision making related to student admissions into agency programs.

  • Train, equip, and educate other staff members concerning the culture of care of the agency

  • Monitor, collect and evaluate quality of program; and

  • Understand and be able to utilize the following skill sets: 

    • Enforce Accountability

    • Perspective taking of patient, staff, and families

    • Effective Demonstration and  Implementation of necessary initiatives

    • Model Professional Behavior

    • Critical and Collaborative Problem Solving

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Management or other related field preferred. Appropriate credentials required by state and affiliations, Director Certificates, preferable. Willingness to attain AMS or AMI certifications.

  • A minimum of 2 years in a Director or Assistant Director role in a pre-school, montessori, or other related environment. Preferably eight years of service work in the childcare/school settings. 

  • Familiarity with a wide variety of effective education options and able to develop, implement and monitor those options in practice. 

  • Comfort in working with students who may have behavioral, social and communicative difficulties and therapists working on site.

  • Analytical and problem-solving and multi-tasking abilities

  • Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing, establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.
