Job Description

Taylor Stitch is looking for a full-time Copywriter to join our creative team and help bring our brand to life while continuing to evolve our voice. The role contributes to a range of projects—from email and site messaging, to paid advertising content and direct response marketing. We launch products most days of the calendar year, so the ability to maintain the brand voice and values, while seamlessly transitioning from collection to collection, is essential. Candidates should be able to quickly showcase what makes our products special through written materials while captivating our customers and bringing them along for the adventure. The ideal candidate is articulate and thorough but also cuts to the chase as a clear communicator.

Responsibilities 

  • Contribute to the creative team by developing the overarching brand voice for Taylor Stitch.

  • Lead product naming as part of seasonal development calendar. 

  • Work closely with Product and Marketing teams to create marketing communications to support the product launch calendar through email, web and social channels. 

  • Tell compelling product stories through copy across all customer touch points (email, website, organic social, paid channels, direct mail, catalog, etc.)

  • Craft descriptive product copy (ie fabrics, materials, fit, construction, use case) for selling materials.

  • Maintain a deep understanding of our brand standards and values while consistently thinking towards future evolution.

  • Proofread marketing materials for typos and grammatical errors. 

  • Present and communicate ideas, progress, rationale, and process to cross-team stakeholders.

  • Maintain organization of copy materials while tracking toward delivery deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in English, Marketing or related degree—or equivalent experience.

  • Minimally 2 years of professional experience (ideally within the digital direct-to-consumer and/or apparel industry).

  • Keen knowledge of fashion terminology. 

  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.

  • Self starter with the ability to work well within a team environment.
