About Us

Minderoo Foundation is a modern philanthropic organisation. We take on tough, persistent issues with the potential to drive massive change. We incubate ideas and accelerate impact. We push the limits of what is believed possible. Minderoo Foundation is independent, forward thinking and seeks effective, scalable solutions. We are proudly Australian, and one of Asia’s largest philanthropies, with AUD $2.5 billion committed to a range of global initiatives. Our team comprises over 250 employees across seven locations.

Walk Free tackles one of the world’s largest and most complex human rights issues requires serious strategic thinking. We approach this challenge by integrating world class research with direct engagement with some of the world’s most influential government, business and religious leaders. We invest our time and resources in a collaborative manner to drive behaviour and legislative change to impact the lives of the estimated 50 million people living in modern slavery today.

Global Freedom Network (GFN) is the faith-based arm of Walk Free.  We recognise that faith can play a vital role in fighting modern slavery.  We empower faith leaders to work in collaboration with government, business, and civil sectors to fight modern slavery.  By building relationships and collaborating with faith leaders and faith-based organisations we believe we can increase awareness, understanding, impact, and action.
