We are currently expanding our research team and hiring for a variety of positions, from entry level to seasoned professionals. We’re looking for people who are smart, curious, analytical, and excited by the prospect of joining a fun and fast-growing startup focused at the intersection of talent and technology. Our team members are in New York, Austin, Palo Alto, Toronto, New Jersey, Florida and Ohio, This role is US based but location agnostic.

Job Description

In this position you will have responsibilities that include: 

  • Leading and managing a team of analysts in creating and executing against a research agenda 

  • Becoming an expert in all aspects of Talent Acquisition and Talent Management technology as well as in Talent Tech Labs’ internal business methodologies and processes

  • Analyzing technology vendors and synthesize findings, including how well their products perform and conveying those insights into published research reports

  • Writing executive-level research insights and presenting findings to client executives  in person or virtually

  • Managing multiple concurrent projects and deliverables, sometimes requiring prioritization

  • Interacting with leading organizations to understand their needs and tailoring research to meet those needs

  • Collaborating with the Product team in execution of our overall annual research agenda and other deliverables

  • Ideating and create new product concepts, and contribute to our overall strategy and product roadmap

  • Be the lead on client requests, ad-hoc consulting and other research projects as needed

  • Developing the analyst team through coaching and training new hires in all aspects of the business

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and prior experiences:

  • 5 or more years of qualitative research and analysis experience in technology or HR processes.

  • 3 or more years overseeing analysts and content writers, with responsibility for the quality of the team’s deliverables. 

  • Insatiably curious: Our research team is a group of lifelong learners, always asking questions. We are looking for someone that loves to get to the bottom of things, seeks to find out how and why things work the way they do, and exhibits a general passion for learning. 

  • Articulate: Companies and executives rely on our research to make decisions. You should be able to articulate ideas clearly in writing and in person, and synthesize key, relevant points from a mountain of noisy data. You can explain abstract ideas in a clear and simple way. 

  • Critical thinker: You can separate fact from fiction, and know how to spot marketing fluff a mile away. Even though you may not be an economics major, you possess analytical skills and can spot trends in data. 

  • Results-oriented: You are the kind of person that does what you say you are going to do, and can manage projects under a deadline. People rely on you to get things done. 

  • Detail-oriented: You care about the details. You take the time to make sure things are not just done, but done right.

For this role we favor people that have:

  • Bachelors or Graduate degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, or Journalism

  • Experience working at a Talent Acquisition Technology or HR Tech firm

  • Experience working at another analyst or HR consultancy firm

  • Some experience with survey design and quantitative analysis

  • Experience in some other kind of research or product role at a technology company
