WHAT’S THE ROLE?

As an All-round Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining the optimal technical condition of an extensive and technologically advanced machine park.

You will do this by performing Preventive & Corrective Maintenance including Optimisations on our complex production lines. You'll be based in Lopik, where you will be the first point of contact and responsible for the overall technical condition of the production lines and building-related installations. These installations range from Water Treatment Systems to Electric Generators and High-Pressure Installations, ensuring plenty of variety in your work.

You will work closely with the Technical Coordinator and your colleagues within the Technical Department. You will also oversee contractors and suppliers during preventive maintenance, modifications, and repair work.

Key Expectations:

• Perform routine, preventive & corrective maintenance, to ensure smooth production operations.
• Manage and troubleshoot advanced machinery, including water treatment, electric generators, and high-pressure systems.
• Supervise and guide contractors and temporary staff on-site.
• Adhere to rigorous safety and hygiene protocols, reporting any risks promptly.
• Participate in on-call duties for technical support outside regular hours.

NB! Due to the Knowledge Migrant Law of the Netherlands, this role is limited to applicants up to 30 yrs old.

What You Bring

• Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and PLC controls, with an MBO-4 technical qualification or higher. 

• Red Seal Certified:
  • You hold a Red Seal Certification, proving your expertise in your trade.

• Experience:
  • Previous experience in a food production environment is preferred is highly desired

• Language Proficiency:
  • Fluent in Afrikaans. This is not negotiable (C1-C2 Proficient User). 
  • Dutch speakers will have a significant advantage.  Dutch Language lessons are however provided.

• Flexibility:
  • Willing to work in a 2-shift system (6:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM).

• Problem Solver:
  • You're able to work independently with a high degree of integrity and make sound decisions under pressure.

• Team Player:
  • Skilled at connecting and collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals in a professional manner.
