Credit Controller - Turkish Speaking - Billericay, Essex

Their portfolio includes prepaid mobile top-up, prepaid debit cards, e-wallets, gift cards, digital music and other content. We also offer lottery, bill payment, prepaid toll and transit and money transfer.
The Opportunity
An vacancy has been created for an experienced Credit Control professional on the Turkish Desk. The successful applicant will be responsible for the collection of cash and management of risk, primary within companies portfolio of customers and additional ad hoc accounting duties.
Day to day duties and responsibilities
- Full responsibility of all Credit Control/Cash Collection for assigned Ledgers
- Understand and review retailer contracts, for payment terms and our available remedies
- Retailer monitoring - press / financial statements / insurers
- Out of hours cover (on-call evening and weekends including bank holidays on a rota basis)
- Large retailer sign up process
- Credit check new retailers and set credit limits.
- Retailer deposit refund processing
- Managing cash prepaid accounts
- Daily cash to invoice monitoring
- Chasing customers for payment by phone and email
- Raise tickets for invoice queries and chase internally to resolve query and collect cash
- Retailer queries, statements and recs, taking ownership of all debt on ledger until cash is collected
- Compliance with all relevant Company standards, processes and procedures
- Monitor credit limits based on retailer’s usage, new products,
- Build relationships with key clients
- Pro-actively looking managing the retailer’s accounts to have sufficient credit and covers the companies Exposure.
Additional Duties
- Weekly status update to Credit Manager on problem or aged debts with a plan of action to retrieve
- Weekly and monthly reporting of debtors
- Work with the Credit Manager to produce and distribute informative reports to key business stakeholders
- Assist the Credit Manager in driving improvements and efficiencies in the department and wider EMEA region
- Provide cover for the Credit Team where required (holidays, sickness etc.)
- Carry out additional tasks that is requested by the Credit Manager or other Managers
What experience is required to be a successful applicant?
To be selected for interview successful applicants will have a minimum of 1 year in a credit control position. A high proficiency and understanding of accounting functions and the ability to work independently.
It is essential that all applicants speak fluent Turkish as this opportunity is focused on Turkish clients.
Any multi-currency experience will be deemed extremely desirable and could lead to an application being fastracked.
