Job Description
You are expected to display a high degree of Technical knowledge and competence relating to your discipline, based on previous working experience in Accounting & Finance. Particularly, this shall involve compete understanding & application of Zakat & Tax, ERP, IFRS, SOCPA & GAAP, MS-Office.

Finance & Accounting Manager– Overall
Internal Interfacing :
Finance & Accounting Manager & Assit. Manager-FnA– Timely recording of Journal Entries.
Dealing with DZIT on zakat & Income matters.
Project Department – Progress Claim, billing, invoice, filling up & understand all the project documents.
PROCUREMENT Department – Constant coordination with respect to timely delivery of invoices & recording of purchases as DZIT requirement & formats.
Petty cash Holder- continuous follow up with all petty cash holders for recording & re-imbursement of funds. Making sure all transactions are recorded in the correct amount & accounts.
Reviewing monthly Journal listing for making sure all the transactions recorded in the correct cost centres & in the correct period.
Acwa Holding, Itochu & Sasakura-for ICA reconciliation. Settling down ICA accounts on yearly basis & reconciliation on monthly basis.
IT-for reports developments & ERP controls improvements.
In the absence of AM finance-be able to handle all the activities of AM finance expertly.
Be able to meet targets & if required, sit late to achieve the goals as per the agreed deadlines.
Key PRIMARY & SECONDARY Tasks/Responsibilities:
Your Primary tasks and responsibilities as Accountant will cover the following:
The following tasks and responsibilities outlined below are applicable to your position:
Support the Assistant Finance Manager in recording and retrieving financial details of the company, including maintaining financial records, Processing, payments, cash handling and salaries.
Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices
Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy as per the DZIT, SOCPA, and GAAP & IFRS requirements.
Plan, organize and manage own workload to ensure your contribution to the company’s monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure swift payment of invoices
Resolution of finance related queries
Assist with end of year preparation and procedures.
Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role.
Preparation of journal entries.
Preparation of account reconciliations.
Preparation of supplemental data, Cost center wise PnL Analyses & planVs actual analyses.
Prepare and maintain various technical accounting memos including but not limited to accruals and Prepaid
Communicate with Group and Location financial personnel to gather and analyze data to resolve issues.
Analyze financial data at division and consolidated levels to identify trends, explain fluctuations and provide summary data as needed.
Preparation of certain footnotes for external financial statements.
Assist in development of corporate accounting processes and policies as required.
Assist in preparation of data for, and review with, external and internal auditors.
Other tasks and projects as required.
A certain level of flexibility regarding availability outside normal working hours is required to attend events and private views
Qualifications
Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Accounting & Finance. preference will be given to professional qualification like CPA/CMA/ACCA.
5 to 7 years’ accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, GAAP & SOCPA.
Dynamics/Hyperion HFM and/or SAP experience a plus.
Public accounting experience is required.
Experience in auditing firm or large international manufacturing company will be a plus.
