Job Description

Essential Functions for the Sr. IT Manager - POS

•    Manage and coordinate with the New Stores team within the enterprise Store Systems. Areas of focus include managing and executing end to end processes related POS.
•    Manage internal and external staff and lead efforts in the support of existing systems, processes, services and in the execution of new projects
•    Develop and manage detailed project plans covering the entire systems development life cycle and associated financial needs
•    Set communication flow activities to keep the team well informed of changes within their departments, functions and organization
•    Manage and deliver presentations that consider the perspective of all related parties
•    Collaborates with internal client peer groups to identify needs and evaluate business solutions
 

Qualifications

Qualifications for the Sr. IT Manager - POS

  • At least 10 years of experience in the IT field or equivalent work experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Business, Information Systems or Computer science, or an equivalent diploma
  • Strong technical background in store equipment such as hardware and network
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Demonstrated ability to execute basic financial analysis, such as forecasting and ROI
  • Minimum of 1 year in supervisory/managerial position
  • Ability to frequently interact with direct reports, customers and peer group managers involving matters between functional areas, other division or units, or customers and IT

Preferred Qualifications for the Sr. IT Manager - POS

  • Working experience in Retail, particularly with IT Store Systems (POS)
  • Programming experience with any computer languages is highly desired
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, root cause analysis, and debugging skills
  • Store deployment/field experience -- rollout of hardware/software across distributed systems/users
  • Possess an understanding of IT capabilities such as telephony, wireless devices, servers and security (cross-functional concepts)
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project and Visio
  • Operating Systems (Sun Solaris) UNIX and Windows operating systems
  • Relational databases – specifically Oracle, SQL Server and Non-STOP SQL experience

Supervisory Responsibilities for the IT Manager - Store Systems (New Store Openings)

  • Influence, manage, coach and mentor team members. Provide specific, timely and constructive feedback on a day-to-day basis
  • Build cross-functional partnerships with other groups to foster team building across units
  • Manage staff remotely, across multiple time zones (prior demonstrated experience)
  • Lead status meetings with team and oversee effective facilitation
  • Lead, IT Applications & IT Application Analyst (Jr. & Sr. IT Store Systems Team (POS & WFM)) will be reporting to you
