The Role

The energy transition is one of the biggest challenges facing the UK today as we look to deliver clean, secure, affordable energy for businesses, consumers and communities. Our future energy system will require a range of different technologies ranging from renewables and electrification to hydrogen and biofuels. Understanding these technologies and markets and working collaboratively to deploy them will be key to securing our energy future.

Our team work with businesses, innovators, and governments to make that vision a reality, delivering high-quality research, analysis, and communications and building consortia to tackle some of the biggest challenges facing the industry.

We are looking for a driven and talented individual to join our dynamic team as a Consulting Analyst. Reporting to the Senior Consultant, this role will put the successful candidate in the heart of the energy transition, working with our team to deliver high-quality projects that unlock our future energy system.


Responsibilities

  • Support the low carbon consulting team in the delivery of client projects
  • Produce accurate and well-structured analysis and models that can be reviewed and developed into insights
  • Prepare accurate client-ready reports that deliver insights in a concise manner
  • Develop thought leadership and marketing materials, and assist with updates for publication on internal or external channels
  • Support the team’s growth by demonstrating an entrepreneurial attitude through showing willingness to take on new tasks, contribute ideas, and a proactive approach.
  • Participate in networking and industry events to build understanding of the sector and support relationship‑building efforts.

Qualifications

Requirements

 

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to take a pragmatic approach to deliver results in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrable communication skills to be used in explaining methodologies and insights in internal and external audiences
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Background knowledge on the low carbon market or energy.
  • Good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet tight deadlines.

The role is based in London or Birmingham. The role occasionally involves some UK travel.
