Job Description

📍 Based in Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
📄 Visa Sponsorship: We offer sponsorship under specific treaty-based U.S. work visas, including TN and E-2 (for eligible Canadian, Mexican, and French citizens). We do not support or transfer other visa types (e.g., H-1B).

We are looking for a Pega Engineer with strong Java expertise to support the design, development, and rollout of key features for one of our financial-services clients. The role focuses on Pega’s Smart Investigate module while also contributing to Java-based integrations and backend logic, enabling scalable and secure solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop full-stack applications with strong focus on security, design, validation, and SDLC standards
  • Leverage Java for backend components, integrations, and custom extensions of Pega applications
  • Collaborate with product managers, business operations, and engineering teams to define product requirements and objectives
  • Participate in system design and platform architecture discussions
  • Build resilient, scalable, and secure modules leveraging cloud-native services
  • Develop integration flows using REST, SOAP, and Java-based connectors where applicable

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Pega frameworks in the banking sector
  • Hands-on experience with Pega Smart Investigate
  • Solid experience coding in Java, including OOP, integration patterns, and debugging
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and software design principles
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, multi-directional environment

Nice to Have

  • Pega certifications such as CSSA or CLSA
  • Experience in financial services, ideally in corporate cash management
  • Strong communication skills, drive, and ownership
  • Experience with AWS services
