About the Role
Are you an assurance professional with expertise in GB energy markets? Do you thrive in a role where you can provide expert analysis, deliver assurance and audit programmes, and support clients in meeting regulatory requirements?
We are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our growing Future Markets team. The successful candidate will help make a difference, providing market assurance, performance assurance and audit services to ensure compliance, integrity, and operational efficiency within the retail energy markets. You will play a key role in engaging with clients, regulatory authorities, and industry stakeholders while supporting the delivery of assurance services that drive improvements across the sector.
Key Responsibilities
Delivering electricity and gas retail market assurance and audit services to ensure compliance with industry Codes and regulatory requirements.
Providing expert analysis and communicating complex issues and solutions effectively to stakeholders.
Creating and executing project work plans, adapting as necessary to meet client needs.
Offering assurance expertise and knowledge to clients and within Gemserv’s business.
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, market participants, and regulatory authorities.
Supporting the delivery of wider assurance and corporate targets.
Conducting risk assessments and process evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
Reporting findings and recommendations to senior management, ensuring accountability and continuous enhancement.
Qualifications
About You
Strong knowledge of the GB retail electricity market, including industry Codes and regulatory frameworks.
Proven experience in assurance, audit, compliance, or risk management, preferably within the energy sector.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present findings clearly.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working with clients, market participants, and regulatory bodies.
Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
