Job Description

Business analyst within Spaas IS plays a transversal role, supporting the implementation of complex evolutions from the day the changes are announced until the day they are effective. To help the organization to anticipate these changes which are either requested by internal or external stakeholders or imposed by public institutions (e.g. : National or European energy regulators, TSO’s), the business analyst will study the impact on the organization, the business process and the IT systems. The analysis will be completed with cost, time and complexity assessment which are key for the IT organization to manage its global implementation roadmap & budget. When comes the time of the implementation, the involvement of the business analyst may vary depending on the level of complexity of the project. Very complex project will usually request the business analyst to remain fully involved to guarantee its success (coordination, knowledge sharing, testing, stakeholders management,…). In their day-to-day job, the business analysts will rely on their knowledge of the energy management processes they will gradually develop and consolidate thanks to very regular interactions with the business experts on the field. By joining Spaas you would become part of an agile IT organization, full of motivated teams of software developers that regularly pair up with different users as a feature team(s) to conceptualise, create, maintain and operate part of our IT landscape.

Qualifications

• Perform impact analysis when important changes are announced :

 Assist the Spaas business operators to identify and specify the impacts expected on the current business operations and on the related IT systems.

Identify the new business and functional requirements.

Propose technical solutions with the support of the technical leaders.

 Prepare, structure and simplify the work for the implementation team. • Stay involved in the implementation of new solutions after the delivery of the study :

Monitor progress and consistency of the solutions being delivered by the different implementation teams.

Support and participate in the UAT (for very complex project)

Contribute to the definition of the long-term Spaas IS vision & architecture o Manage the IS cartography (Business, Process, Application architectures) and propose scenarios for the development and simplification of the IS aligned with the business strategy

Develop and consolidate expertise on the Energy Market & Energy Management Services Monitor business evolutions of the energy market.

Identify the latest applicative solutions on the market that would present opportunities for the Business and IS agility o Understand the different services offered by Spaas and the related operations executed by the Spaas operators.

 Organize specific workshops to increase the knowledge of the SPAAS IS members.  Encourage discussion and knowledge sharing with external BU’s (e.g. : Generation)

Additional Information

Capacity to understand business needs and elaborate IS solutions

Ability to write high-level and detailed specifications

Ability to design functional architecture

Capacity to coordinate and follow-up the developments

Testing, Quality and Support competence

Experience in functional/application architecture design would be a plus

Knowledge and/or experience in coding would be a plus
