Job Description

The candidate will join the Trading Team of our client, a world leader in cryptofinance. The ideal candidate should have strong coding skills in C# or C++, a solid knowledge of financial products, trading environment, and a strong interest in cryptocurrency.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Work closely with traders and quantitative analysts to understand the business needs of the technology to ensure the system is ideally built for the problem at hand.
  • Create and test financial models and forecasts, validating and documenting the performance of financial models, analyzing performance results, and reporting on the data to traders, financial engineers, and IT support.
  • Identify potential areas for optimization and performance enhancements including suggestions for the ongoing maintenance and improvement of overall code quality.
  • Own all aspects of trading strategy code including trading algorithms, performance, and exchange connectivity.
  • Provide realistic estimates for project and software development timelines ensuring accountability.
  • Utilize exhaustive testing and debugging skills as part of the development process.
  • Stay current on industry development and trends to maintain ongoing business awareness and a competitive edge.
  • Work closely with the support staff to ensure the successful system operation and take pride in being the first point of contact for technical troubleshooting.

Qualifications

Required Skill Set:

  • Advanced skills in C# or C++
  • Extensive years of experience in a Quant Development role in a Bank or another Fund
  • Understanding of the software development life-cycle (from start to finish)
  • Strong problem solving, written, verbal communication, and analytical skills
  • Familiarity with financial markets and quantitative investment approaches
  • Clear understanding of data structures, algorithms, software design and core programming concepts
  • Comfortable multi-tasking and managing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong general and technical communication skills, with an ability to effectively articulate complex financial and mathematical concepts
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • High degree of attention to detail and ability to manage complex processes, along with the judgment to balance risk/benefit
  • Knowledge of equity trading, basket trading, index arb, futures, options

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a quantitative, Mathematical Finance, or Computer Sciences field
  • Previous experience in the Finance/Banking Industry
  • Previous in Cryptocurrency or interest in Cryptocurrency
