Company Description

TVG-Medulla is seeking an HRIS Analyst to support HR systems, workforce reporting, and people analytics across the organization. This role will work heavily within Paychex and partner with Human Resources and Talent Acquisition to ensure accurate reporting, maintain workforce data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights to support business decisions.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, comfortable working with large data sets, and able to turn HR data into clear, actionable reporting. This position requires strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and experience working with HRIS and reporting tools.

Job Description

HRIS & Workforce Reporting

  • Develop, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad hoc HR reports using Paychex and SmartRecruiters ATS.
  • Track and analyze key workforce metrics, including headcount, turnover, retention, attrition, and employee trends.
  • Maintain and support reporting related to FMLA, leaves of absence, and other HR programs.
  • Audit HRIS data and reporting for accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
  • Compile workforce data for leadership presentations, business reviews, and HR planning.
  • Identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities within workforce data and clearly communicate findings to HR leadership.
  • Partner with HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, and other internal teams to fulfill reporting and data requests.
  • Support ongoing improvements to HR reporting processes, data quality, and reporting efficiency.

Talent Acquisition Analytics

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to maintain and analyze recruiting metrics and dashboards.
  • Track open requisitions, hiring activity, time-to-fill, hiring volume, and other recruiting KPIs.
  • Utilize SmartRecruiters ATS reporting to extract, organize, and analyze recruiting data.
  • Assist with recurring TA reporting for leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Review recruiting data for trends, gaps, and inconsistencies and support ongoing data cleanup and reporting improvements.

Data Analysis & Presentation

  • Build and maintain Excel reports using pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and other data analysis functions.
  • Consolidate data from multiple HR systems and sources into clear, usable reports.
  • Create charts, summaries, and PowerPoint presentations that translate workforce data into meaningful business insights.
  • Utilize AI tools, including Claude AI, to support data analysis, reporting efficiency, research, and presentation development where appropriate.
  • Assist with special HR projects, audits, workforce analyses, and ad hoc reporting as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in HRIS reporting, HR analytics, workforce analytics, HR operations, or a similar data-focused role.
  • Experience working with an HRIS and extracting, validating, and analyzing employee data.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and data manipulation.
  • Experience developing recurring reports and analyzing workforce metrics.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and inconsistencies within data.
  • Ability to organize and present data clearly for both HR and business audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
  • Ability to manage multiple reporting deadlines and priorities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with employee and organizational data.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Paychex or Paychex Flex.
  • Experience with SmartRecruiters or another applicant tracking system.
  • Experience reporting on turnover, retention, headcount, FMLA/LOA, and Talent Acquisition metrics.
  • Experience developing reports or presentations for senior leadership.
  • Experience using AI tools such as Claude AI to improve reporting, analysis, or workflow efficiency.
  • Experience working within a multi-site organization.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field preferred.
