Job Description

·        Performs all tasks according to project guidelines and standards

·         Meets and maintains all research reliability and quality control standards

·         Perform data management processes, including data set conversions from various formats into SAS analysis datasets

·         Perform SAS programming

·         Import/export/edit data files – recode, and create customized data elements for analysis

·         Manage microcomputer files in a Window’s environment to develop databases and analysis programs for analysis

·       Plans daily activities within the guidelines of company policy, job    

    description and supervisor’s instruction in such a way as to maximize  

    personal output

·         Develop and present analytical files to Government staff. This includes understanding scientific data sources, ensuring security/confidentiality of data files. Also includes data file documentation and aiding Government staff with developing analytic programs in SAS and SUDAAN

·         Perform complex data analysis using SAS and SUDAAN

·         Develop statistical reports

·         Perform multivariate analyses using complex survey data

·         Provide support to Government staff in multivariate techniques

·         Develop complex Excel and Word tables from SAS into customized formats

·         Translate data into other presentable formats such as Powerpoint or for publication, presentation, and manuscripts

·         Provide questionnaire and survey design feedback

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Public Health and Epidemiology or Statistics
  • Strong data management skills
  • Analysis of complex survey data
  • Experience with survey methods and designs
  • Experience with data entry and editing software programs
  • SAS, SUDAAN, Excel, and PowerPoint, macro programming
  • Managing and analyzing large datasets
  • Knowledge of population-based surveys and statistics
  • Multivariate techniques
  • Developing statistical analysis plans and reports
  • Vaccine experience a plus
  • Ability to effectively work with other public health researchers and Vaccine SMEs in a research setting
  • Willingness to travel offsite
  • Willingness to work some non-traditional work hours (such as late nights and weekends)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
