Job Description

Provide technical leadership and guidance in the design and delivery of highly scalable fit-for-purpose customer engagement and back-office process solutions, architecture, technologies, and governance. Additionally, this role will lead the construction of a combined ecosystem of traditional on premise and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Behavioural Competencies:

  • Experience leading a team;
  • Experience working in and evolving an agile development environment (Scrum, kanban, etc);
  • A collaborative and inclusive approach - this only works when the business and the team are intimately involved;

Experience:

  • >7 years IT experience;
  • Experience managing AWS or other tier-1 cloud infrastructure provider;

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux server administration and systems;
  • Intimate experience of one of Python, Ruby or Go;
  • Knowledge of functional programming is highly regarded;
  • Extensive networking knowledge and concepts;
  • Extensive experience using one of the major cloud infrastructure providers;
  • Experience using infrastructure-as-code and devops related tooling, such as cloud formation, terraform, ansible, puppet, etc.

Desirable:

  • A tertiary degree in an IT related discipline is highly desirable.
