Job Description

WORKSITE SAFETY ASSURANCE / FIELD EXECUTION

REMOTE SAFETY MONITORING / ASSURANCE SYSTEM

INTERFACE / COORDINATION

  • Conduct regular and irregular worksite safety inspections, assurance visits, and field audits for offshore production, maintenance, drilling/workover, construction, installation, SIMOPS, and other operational activities.
  • Verify implementation of worksite safety controls and safe work practices at site, including PTW, CoW, JSA, toolbox talks, worksite preparation, isolation control, and field execution discipline.
  • Monitor safety performance of routine and non-routine operational activities, identify unsafe acts and conditions, and provide practical recommendations for improvement.
  • Provide field-focused safety supervision and technical support to offshore personnel, supervisors, and contractors during work execution.

     

  • Establish, implement, and continuously improve an office-based remote monitoring system for site safety assurance, including reporting mechanisms for PTW, CoW, JSA, and high-risk work controls.
  • Review PTW reporting and JSA quality on a routine basis to verify completeness, risk identification adequacy, and field applicability of work controls.
  • Monitor worksite safety performance remotely through available reporting channels, field safety data, trends, photographs, and video/CCTV monitoring where applicable.
  • Identify weak signals, recurring deficiencies, and execution discipline issues through desk-based monitoring and trend analysis, and establish regular feedback and escalation mechanisms to line management.

     

  • Monitor and verify control effectiveness for high-risk work activities, including hot work, confined space entry, lifting operations, working at height, line breaking, and simultaneous operations.
  • Support contractor safety oversight during offshore and onshore operational activities through pre-job discussions, field coordination, and interface meetings to ensure worksite safety expectations are clearly communicated.
  • Track key field safety issues related to contractor performance and support follow-up actions for improvement.

     

  • Organize or support periodic worksite safety inspections, assurance reviews, and operational safety audits in coordination with relevant departments, and participate in internal and external inspections related to field safety execution.
  • Maintain records of worksite safety inspections, audit observations, action tracking logs, and field assurance reports; track corrective and preventive actions and follow up implementation status.
  • Support trend review and analysis of worksite safety findings, unsafe behaviors, and recurring deficiencies, and provide regular updates to management.

     

  • Participate in investigation of worksite safety incidents, near misses, and operational safety deviations; support collection of field facts and evidence, and follow up implementation of corrective actions.
  • Support operational emergency preparedness from a field execution perspective, including readiness checks of emergency arrangements, participation in drills, and verification of onsite response preparedness.
  • Assist in identifying worksite safety lessons learned from incidents, drills, audits, and operational observations, and facilitate communication of such lessons to relevant stakeholders.

     

  • Support development, review, and improvement of worksite safety related procedures, checklists, work instructions, inspection templates, and assurance tools.
  • Provide practical field safety guidance and coaching to supervisors, frontline personnel, and contractors on PTW, JSA quality, high-risk work control, and operational safety expectations.
  • Support communication of field safety alerts, lessons learned, and recurring issues to relevant teams, and promote safety awareness and disciplined work execution to strengthen worksite safety culture.

     

  • Act as a coordination interface on worksite safety matters among Process Safety, SHE, Production, Operations & Maintenance, drilling/workover teams, and contractors; coordinate with offshore supervisors to ensure site-reported issues, PTW/JSA review comments, and audit findings are properly communicated and closed out.
  • Support management reporting on worksite safety performance, audit results, field findings, and assurance activities; coordinate with Compliance (H&E) and Process Safety functions on relevant safety observations and technical matters.

     

Qualifications

**QUALIFICATIONS**

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Safety Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline
  • Registered Safety Engineer (RSE) certification
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in oil & gas and offshore operations
  • Minimum 5 years of field safety, operational safety, or offshore safety supervision experience
  • Demonstrated experience conducting site inspections, safety audits, and field verification activities
  • Practical experience in offshore production, maintenance, drilling/workover, construction, or installation activities
  • Familiarity with PTW, JSA, and high-risk work control processes
