Company Description

Blade Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Blade Engineer to join an ambitious and fast-growing company within the repair and maintenance of wind turbine blades.

Do you have a deep technical understanding of wind turbine blades – their construction, materials and structural properties – and would you like to use that knowledge in a role where colleagues and customers turn to you when a repair needs to be done properly?

Do you know how a blade is built, from laminates, core materials, spar caps and shear webs to bonded joints, leading edge protection and lightning protection systems (LPS)? And do you understand what happens to the structure when the blade is damaged, and what is required to restore it?

Then this may be the role for you.

About the company

The company is a Danish-founded rope access specialist focused on offshore and onshore maintenance and repair of wind turbine blades.

The company provides specialised service solutions internationally and is experiencing strong growth. The organisation includes IRATA- and GWO-certified technicians as well as specialists in blade repair and blade upgrades.

The company is headquartered in Southern Denmark and works on projects both within and outside the EU. The culture is entrepreneurial, with short decision-making processes, a fast pace and a strong focus on quality, employee wellbeing and long-term development.

You will plan and coordinate the work and, when necessary, participate on site to ensure that the repair is carried out correctly.

Your main responsibilities

  • Technical assessment of damage and its impact on blade structural integrity
  • Advising on repair methods, materials and technical solutions, including composites, LEP and LPS
  • Preparing and maintaining work instructions, repair procedures and technical standards

  • Capturing experience and lessons learned and translating them into improved instructions and procedures

The role may develop further over time depending on your skills and ambitions.
