Role: Device Processing & Inventory Operations Specialist

Duration: Long Term

Location: Irving, TX- Onsite

 

Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Device Processing & Inventory Operations Specialist to support end-to-end device processing, quality assurance, inventory management, and refurbishment operations. The role involves working with repaired and inbound devices, maintaining accurate grading and eligibility information, performing inventory transfers, analyzing exceptions, and ensuring system accuracy through Oracle.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in PI (Process Improvement) working sessions by redesigning operational templates, implementing validation controls, streamlining SharePoint structures, and optimizing rack layouts to improve process efficiency.
  • Support device-processing activities by updating grading and eligibility attributes for repaired and inbound devices, improving inventory readiness and operational visibility.
  • Perform QA, triage, kitting, CPO-fail, and LQD inbound verification for devices and ensure accurate processing.
  • Execute Oracle inventory transfers and move device hives to the appropriate sub-inventory locations.
  • Analyze CPO-failed devices and submit downgrade requests to T-Mobile based on established procedures.
  • Perform LREPAIR grade updates and upgrade eligible devices to CPO status to support refurbishment throughput.
  • Categorize and analyze receiving exceptions, including TMO Review and Item Mismatch bins, and take appropriate corrective actions.
  • Complete DEV PENDING, IN OTHER ORG, and MISSING DIGIT labeling activities, update missing hives, and perform required sub-inventory transfers.
  • Pull, sort, and return devices from IT Hold Racks and ensure devices are routed to the appropriate processing areas.
  • Deliver and route devices to Triage, QA, OOW Repair, IW Repair, and LQD Grading teams.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely movement of devices across designated locations.
  • Identify discrepancies and processing exceptions and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
  • Follow established quality, inventory-control, and operational procedures to maintain system and physical inventory accuracy.

 

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in device processing, inventory operations, warehouse operations, refurbishment, or reverse logistics.
  • Knowledge of device grading, QA, triage, repair, kitting, and refurbishment processes.
  • Experience working with Oracle inventory management or ERP systems.
  • Strong understanding of sub-inventory transfers and inventory control processes.
  • Experience analyzing inventory exceptions and resolving discrepancies.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, process-driven operational environment.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Excel, or similar operational tracking tools is a plus.
