Job Description

Role: Scrum Master- Lead

Location: Mexico, Canada- support full EST hours

Duration: 6 months

Pay Rate: CAD 35-40/hr.

Traditional scrum leads (certified), familiar with tools (Jira or ADO), engineering teams focused for implementation transformation. sAFe training or experience would be a plus. Strong communications needed for a typical scrum lead.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog grooming.
  • Work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to drive Agile implementation and transformation initiatives.
  • Remove impediments and support teams in achieving sprint and project goals.
  • Partner with Product Owners, stakeholders, and development teams to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  • Track sprint progress, team velocity, risks, and dependencies using Agile management tools.
  • Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement across teams.
  • Support release planning and ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Drive effective communication between business, technical teams, and leadership.

Required Skills:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), PSM, or equivalent Scrum certification required.
  • Strong experience working as a Scrum Lead/Scrum Master with engineering or software development teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps (ADO).
  • Strong understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience driving Agile transformation and implementation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAFe certification or prior SAFe framework experience is a strong plus.
  • Experience working in enterprise-level Agile environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple teams and priorities effectively.
