    Job Title: Oracle Essbase Consultant – Databricks Migration

    Duration: 6 Months (Contract)
    Location: Remote or Local to Texas (TX)

    Job Overview

    Our client is seeking a highly skilled Oracle Essbase Consultant to support an Essbase-to-Databricks migration initiative. The engagement will begin with hands-on Essbase data integration work, followed by the migration and modernization of existing Essbase workloads into Databricks.

    This role requires deep expertise in Essbase architecture and data integration, along with strong analytical and SQL skills to support data transformation and validation during the migration process.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Perform hands-on data integration and maintenance activities in Oracle Essbase
    • Support and manage BSO and ASO cubes
    • Analyze existing Essbase workloads and identify candidates for migration
    • Migrate and replace selected Essbase workloads with Databricks-based solutions
    • Design and validate data models and transformations during migration
    • Develop and optimize SQL queries for data analysis and reconciliation
    • Collaborate with data engineering, analytics, and business teams
    • Ensure data accuracy, performance, and scalability post-migration
    • Document migration processes, mappings, and best practices

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Essbase
    • Proven experience with BSO (Block Storage Option) and ASO (Aggregate Storage Option) cubes
    • Experience with Essbase data integration tools
    • Strong SQL and data analysis skills
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
    • Strong communication and documentation skills

    Nice to Have

    • Experience with Databricks and cloud-based data platforms
    • Prior experience migrating legacy OLAP systems to modern analytics platforms
    • Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL frameworks
