Job Description

  • Plan, develop and administer policies and procedures of the Occupational Health Centre;
  • Manage clinic resources to meet the RBCT’s Occupational Health objectives;
  • Budget formulation and control;
  • Primary health care;
  • Provide care and wellness to employees that leads to the promotion, protection and restoration of the employee’s occupational health and hygiene within a safe working environment;
  • Comply with legal requirements and RBCT policies and procedures;
  • Emergency preparedness and business continuity management;
  • Administrative duties;
  • Projects.

Qualifications

  • B Tech in Occupational Health Nursing; Degree in Nursing Administration or equivalent will be advantageous
  • Certificate in Audiometry (update), spirometry, dispensary licence; 5 years management experience in an Occupational Health environment
  • Management Development Program (MDP); ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System
  • SAMTRAC & SHE Auditing (advantageous)
  • working knowledge of procedures followed when dealing with the Compensation Commissioner; Registration with South African Nursing Council.

  • Code EB driver’s license
  • Basic Ambulance course
  • dispensing course
  • ability to stablish rapport at all levels within the organisation
  • strong IT skills (MS Office and SAP); sound knowledge of relevant legislation.
