Job Description

Position: Portal Developer

Client:- Guardian Life Insurance Company

Location:- New York

Duration:- 12+ Months

Overview:

Guardian is in need of two Sr IBM Portal Developers for the New York office.

Must have both front and back end technology.

Minimum Requirements:

Senior IBM Portal Developer

1) A minimum of 8 years of experience designing and developing Portal applications in a Unix , Java/J2EE, Relational Database (Oracle / DB2) environment;

2) Ability to merge JSR-168/286 based portlets

3) Strong web application server side and middleware development experience delivering Java/J2EE applications using technologies Spring, Hibernate, JDBC, Servlets, JSP, EJB, RMI, JMS;

4) Strong web application and production experience on front end development work involving HTML, Javascript, Ajax and Ajax framework based on Dojo and Ext JS, CSS;

5) Experience working with creative and UX UI design concepts and standards and understands how to implement highly interactive screens best practices effectively through code;

6) Experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA);

7) Hands-on experience with XML/XSL and building Web Services (UDDI, SOAP, WSDL);
