Our client is looking for a Sales and Business Development Manager in Vancouver.

 Position Overview:

Under the general administrative direction of the Assistant Vice President, this position is responsible for supporting and implementing the sales and marketing strategy for payment card issuing programs and services inclusive of full sales cycles.

Responsibilities In conjunction with the AVP, execute annual strategic business development and sales plans to achieve corporate objectives for card issuing products and services.

Manage the sales funnel with initial focus on prospecting, opportunity qualification, and needs analysis.

Respond to inbound card issuing inquiries.

Conduct due diligence and outbound calls to identified prospects for new card programs.

Set up meetings and conference calls with prospective clients.Prepare card proposals for presentation to prospects.

Understand and articulate the card products and services’ value proposition.

Apply a consultative sales approach to grow card programs in various market segments, including but not limited to: payroll, travel, retail, corporate incentives and rebates.

Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the company’s CRM system.

Adhere to brand guidelines and standards in all marketing channels including but not limited to print, digital, public relations, event marketing, and social media

Manage external marketing agency and / or partners to deploy marketing tactics.

Responsible for post-campaign analytics to measure marketing ROI.Support the monitoring of competitive products and market activities.

Proactively utilize all resources and sales tools to maximize productivity, responsiveness and client satisfaction.

May attend industry conferences, events and functions to provide information on market and payment product trends.


Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing, or equivalent sales / marketing experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience, preferably in financial and card services

Demonstrated ability to support the development of new business

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Excellent grasp of brand building and articulation of value propositions

Exceptional relationship development skills

Good judgement with demonstrated sound decision making skills, with a proactive approach to problem solving

Strong interpersonal, organizational and time management skills

Adaptable, flexible and responsive to change

Proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Dynamics CRM
