Job Description
The Marketing Manager, Brand Partnerships is tasked with developing, marketing, and activating creative ways that business partners can engage with the TED platform through paid partnerships. Key elements of that work will include ideating on new products and programs for partners, interfacing with other departments at TED on potential collaborative projects, creating strategic marketing materials, and executing successful activations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide strategic recommendations to partners incorporating the full suite of TED offerings
- Leveraging product expertise, create, write, and pitch creative partner programs that drive revenue
- Collaborate with sales leads to respond to RFPs, create materials for client meetings, and build a database of proactive ideas, supporting the pitch process to close deals
- Create, update, maintain and regularly share updates to marketing positioning, under the guidance of the Associate Director, Integrated Marketing
- Develop content-first marketing programs across all brand platforms with a focus on editorial sponsorships, audio-first programming, video, native content, and social media
- Attend sales development calls to articulate and sell-through marketing ideas
- Articulate the distinct GTM for key brands to educate category sales and marketing teams
- Ensure smooth transition from pitch to production phases of partner programming
- Produce partner programming, inclusive of video and audio sponsorships, custom events, activations at TED flagship conferences, custom content, and other social and digital activations
- Coordinate across internal TED teams, yet remain the main point of contact for the partner
- Generate program recap and work with sales lead on refinement to renew business
- Willingness to contribute however possible to ensure overall effectiveness of position
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of relevant experience
- BA/BS College degree required
- Excellent writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills
- Dynamic teamwork and collaboration skills required
- Ability to drive resolution through solutions-based approaches
- Independently develop creative ideas and articulate opportunities for advertisers
- Acumen in supporting leadership and cross-functional teams
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, proposals and priorities in high volume with tight deadlines
- Strong analytical, strategic, and creative problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation skills, with experience using Keynote
Additional Information
SALARY RANGE: $70,000 - $85,000
This position is a hybrid position based in our New York City office (Tues-Thurs in NY office).
